Box Style Railing Holders: Heavy-duty box style holder is ideal for guarding of shipping pits, open holes in floors or vertical wall installations. The Box Mounts allow 2” of rail movement within the box for easier installation. Should railing legs become slightly bent over time, these box mounts will still allow rails to fit into the holders. However, rails should be replaced immediately if the structural integrity of the railing has been compromised. The Box Mount Rail Holders wrap over the edge of pit for extra strength. This style may be used when the vertical wall is poured concrete or cinder block. However, the top plate must be anchored into a poured concrete. Box Mounts are anchored with (4) ½” wedge anchor bolts supplied with product. Standard finish is powder coated safety yellow. Low-profile design makes these mounts the perfect solution to pit guarding where trucks are backing in out of the pit.

This model may only be used on poured concrete wall and are anchored with (4) ½” wedge anchor bolts supplied with product. Standard finish is powder coated safety yellow. This model requires taller rails for OSHA compliance which are available in a variety of colors and finishes.

Wrap Over Edge Railing Mounts: These railing mounts are simply a different version of the Box Mount style railing holder. These are used when the vertical wall is constructed from cinder block and the floor surface is poured concrete. Many shipping pits have a steel angle iron molded into the corner edge of the pit. This model allows the holder to wrap over the angle iron and anchor into the floor behind the angle iron. Wrap Over Edge Mounts are anchored with (4) ½” wedge anchor bolts supplied with product. Standard finish is powder coated safety yellow.

Railing Sections for Pit Mounted Rail Holders: Railings are 1 5/8” diameter x standard lengths of 5’, 7 ½’, and 10’. They stand 6’ taller than our standard rails to maintain the 42” height requirements prescribed by OSHA. Railing weigh from 23 – 28 lbs. and are powder coated safety yellow. Custom colors and sizes are available.
